War Office Releases Brooke-Popham's Despatches
'Under-Estimate' Of Japanese
London, Jan. 22.
Six years after the event, the first official des- patch on the operations in Malaya, giving a partial explanation of the loss, 10 weeks after the attack on Pearl Harbour, of the great naval base of Singapore, was released by the War Office today.
Air Chief Marshal Sir Robert Brooke-Popham, Commander-in-Chief.
