MARSHALL PLAN CRITICISM Opposition Expected From Republicans Bernard Baruch To Testify
Washington, Jan. 18.
Stiffer criticism of the Marshall aid plan, when the Senate Foreign Relations Committee re- sumes its probe tomorrow, was expected here today as the move to cut direct appropriations for the first full year of the plan's operation appeared to be gaining ground in Congress. Now that the Administration's case for the plan has been presented, the Senate Committee will this week hear witnesses who may be more critical of some phases of the proposed pro- gramme.
