The Bill amending the Widows and Orphans Pension Ordinance 1908 by the repeal of section 3 passed its first reading in the. Legis- lative Council yesterday, The Attorney General (Mr. J. B. GHMn) explained that, under section 3, an officer who may be a contributor under the Ordinance is a person who is in receipt of a total salary of $480 a year.
