For the future I am hopeful the Society will continue to be in a reasonably sound financial position. However, I should say that its future commitments e.g. secretarial assistance, journal publications and particularly to the Hong Kong Arts Centre and whether it wishes to rent premises there, may well mean reappraisal. I am hopeful that the Society will be able to sustain these future commitments but a further rise in subscriptions cannot be ruled out.
