Major Hirao Yoshio is charged that at Kowloon between September 8, 1943, and August 16. 1045, a Commanding Officer of the Imperial Japanese Army he was concerned in the in humane treatment by his subordinate staff of Chinese and other civilians held in the custody of the Kompeitai Hoadeyarters and some er its sub-stations.
This inhumane treatment consisted of killing some Chinese and illtrenting others. The Court will be under the presidency of Lt. Col. N. G. Walt, with Major A. Clayworth and Captain R. . H. Garely as members.
Major Lal will act as prosecutor. The accused will be defended by a Japanese lawyer detalled and advised by 2/Lt. Falkoff.
