Details Of Spending From Proposed Loan Repairs To Govt. Buildings
Iteins ranging all the way from $40,000 for a mo- tor-car for His Excellency the Governor and $12,488,000 for the construction and repairs of buildings to $4,000 for watches for the Police and $700 for garage jacks for the Sanitary De- partment are contained in the Schedule of the Rehabilitation Expenditure to be made from the proposed new Government Loan. The schedule is a lengthy document of some 15 pages, with 14 main heads, ranging in alpha- betical order from Agriculture and Air to Telecommunications and Waterworks. These which were listed briefly in the Estimates, give a total proposed expenditure in 1947-48 of $60,399,400.
