The Ecohomist writes: A major dollar crisis‹ in Britain is "absolutely certain” next year. The recent drawings on, United States and Cana- dian credits have been ominous. Until recently, officials were optimistic about the length of time for which the dollars would last. but there is the greatest apprehension nów, partly because the fuel crisis has harmed the prospects of earning dollars, partly because the time when foods and raw materials will be available from non-dollar sources seems re- ceding rather than advancing but mainly be- cause soaring dollar prices sharply cut the real value of the credits.
