It is officially announced that as from April 1, 1947, the practice of labelling Toilet Preparations and Proprietary Medicines will cease. The Government has decided on representations made by commercial firm to dispense with the labelling of the above mentioned articles. The system of fixing a label to each article in- volves merchants in considerable delay in get- ting their goods from bond on the market and it was alleged that the labels often detracted from the commercial attractiveness of some of the articles in question. In order to ensure the mini- um delay. merchants are in vited to follow on the following procedure:--
