Holiday Made Happier
At last that holiday has arrived and you plan to get away from it all and have some fun. That's fine and I hope nothing will interfere with your plans. But do let me caution you to prepare for those two weeks so you will get every possible bit of fun out of them.
First do not load your trunk with a lot of unnecessary clothes. Fresh cottons, light wollens, a sweater or two and play clothes are about all you need. Perhaps a couple of casual evening dresses will be required for gala nights. You will want a lot of exercise during your holiday 40 see that your swim suit fits. Above all sec that everything you cart along is in apple-ple order. There will be no time for sewing on a snap or taking up a hem all those little details should be attended to before your clothes are packed.
It is good to bear in mind that low-herled shoes are the natural accessory for all play clothes-- cotton dresses, shorts, slacks. A girl looks positively silly trying to walk along the beach in a pair of high-heeled sandals! See that you show better taste and better
sense.
This summer girls have deter- mined to keep their hair out of the sun, so gayly coloured turbans and scarves become a vital part of one's play wardrobe. For every costume have a head cover- ing that adds a dash of harmonis- ing colour. Then wear it!
It is nice to carry scads of fresh undies if you can afford to be so stocked. If you are limited then you should buy silk jersey or silk seersucker underthings and night- ies as they are easily washed out and require no ironing if they are stretched before you hang them to dry. As personal dainliness is vital to charm and allure you can- not afford to economise on laun- dry, and some very active days you will require two and three changes. A deodorant is a "must"
as you can see.
