OPENING GAMES IN NEW LEAGUE SOCCER SEASON

THE DRAW FOR THE OPENING GAMES OF THE NEW SOCCER SEASON WAS MADE YESTERDAY AT THE MEETING OF THE FIX- TURES COMMITTEE, UNDER THE CHAIR- MANSHIP OF MR. J. SKINNER AND SUP- PORTED BY CAPTAIN R. E. GUEST, MESSRS. T. G. STOKES AND C. A. GOLDENBERG

(HON. SECRETARY).

The chairman said that International has written withdrawing from the Third Division and

University had applied for admission to Second Division. He said that it was not possible to accommodate Univer- sity in Second Division but they could be given the vacancy in Third Divi- sion caused by the with- drawal of International.

This was agreed to by the Com- mittee.

Mr. Stokes proposed that where , club had teams in First and Second Divisions, it be si ar- ranged that both games be play ed on the same ground. It Was agreed.
