THREE MILLIONS TO REGISTER FOR INDUSTRIAL SERVICE
ANOTHER 3,000,000 MEN and women are to be registered for industrial national service in Great Britain between August 2 and December 6.
The Ministry of Labour and National Service yesterday announced that in addition to women born in the years 1912 to 1916, Mr. Ernest Bevin, Minister of Labour, had to re- gister, under the Registration for Employ- ment Order, men born in 1895, 1896 and 1897.
It is understood that the urgency for additional manpower, both for the Forces and munition works, is such that it may be necessary in the near future again to revise the schedule of reserved occupations and to raise the age of reservation in some groups.
