HEAVY R.A.F. RAIDS in Crete, Libyo and Syria, with the destruction or damage of a number of enemy aircraft as well as pro- tection of the forces evacuated from Crete, were the high spots in yesterday's R.A.F. Middle East communique.

The communique says that in the Medi- terranean large formations of R.A.F. and South African fighters continued protective patrols throughout Sunday over British war- ships and merchantmen, engaged in the evacuation of Crete.
