Ush ship from Shanghai left the dinner tables and cabins at 7.30 last night when a large blaze was sighted.
The blaze was seen when the ship was about two and a half hours from Hong Kong. Later it was discovered that the blaze was caused by a large burning junk. The ves- sel manoeuvred round and stopped twice to ascertain whether there was anyone on board the junk. The junk was. however, deserted.
