Pan American Airways to-day announced that the Civil Acronau- ties Board Had officially approved the regular carriage of passengers. cargo, and mail on their San Francisco-Manila-Singapore route. The first flight carrying passengers and dir freight is being made by the "California Clipper" which left Treasure Island. Sun Fran- cisco, on May 21 and is scheduled to arrive in Manila on May 28 and in Singapore on May 29.
To the 75,555 miles of American Airways already operation the Singapore-Manila service adds another 1.484 miles.
