Macao Jockey Club will hold their May meeting at the Areia Preta Race Course, Macao, on Sunday and the first bell will be rung at 2.30 p.m., the first race starting punctually at 3.00 p.m.

There are altogether five events on the programme, and it is ex- pected that many racing enthusi- asts from Hong Kong will make the trip. The s.s. "SĂI ON" will; leave Hong Kong on Sunday at 8.00 am. and will return from Macau in Monday al 3,00 a.m.

The principal race of the day will be "The Chairman's Cup.

Mae's Adventure (Mr. Botelho), which won the Chinshan Handi- cap (Third section), will probably take second place, and National Authem (Mr. S. W. Pan) should not find it ton difficult to take the other minor place.

Another sprint race for the third section of "E" Class China ponies will night out the issue here. Judging from the entries, Eagle is the best recommendation for a win here in view of its success in The day's programme

However, I feel that the most dangerous contender here is Lan-, cashire Chap (Mr. Chao), Its chances of winning are by the menus negligible as the pony is quite fast in a sprint race.

Piet Hein is my selection, with Dow Jones second and National Success third,

The entries in this rave come from China ponies classified by Hong Kong Jockey Club us "D" Class, and it appears to me that Lovely Star (Mr. Botelho), win- Ti of the Langman Handicap (Pive furlongs) in record time ut the last meeting, should have no

difficulty in carrying off the first prze. Next best pony is Portrush, winner of the Taiwan Bay Handi- cap (Second section) at the Valley duing the Easter Meeting, which will be taken out by Mr. Chang, while West Lake, if taken out by
