In
a very one-sided match, Tsui Wai-pui and Tsui Yan-pui yesterday entered the final of the Colony doubles tennis tournament when they beat G. W. Sewell and D. M. MacDougal 6-2, 6-2, 6-3 on Stand Court of Hong Kong Cricket Club before a handful of spectators.
The Tsuis were so far superior took the match that they never very seriously but full marks must be given to the British pair for the plucky efforts. They were too erratic to maintain the rallies for any length of time but both! hit with refreshing vigour, parti- cularly veteran George Sewell, and against any other pair, with the exception of the Rumjahus, they might have put up something like a decent show.
The Tsuis will rury meet thei Rumjans in the Bnal.

Playing short iron shots re- quires firm decision and pre- De- cision for best results. cision is essential for the sim- pe reason that the player. who cannot convince himself that he is making the right choice of shots, will be hesi- lant in performance. As such shots require a crisp stroke, it means that the player, once embarked on the shot, must let his muscles flow smoothly into the stroke. The club- head descending sharply will contact the ball, then dig through the turf, taking divot as illustrated above.
11.
Care must be taken that the clubhead does not linger or halt during the divot digging stage. Such procedure often refleets
hitting a let-up in power at impact. Make sure of following through and the danger of this happening is minunised. Hitting the ball a descending blow and taking turf udds a spin to the ball which will stop it quickly The loft of the club will raise the ba'l so avoid any tendency to scoop it up.
