The address of Lord Halifax to the Pilgrims the other day was neither easy platitude nor shril!! ery of a wounded lion for help, but rather the con fession of a faith that has passed through fire and, been refined.

The new British Am bassador who trusted 11: Munich and loud him self betrayed, was a re sident of London during the disillusionment of Norway, the anxiety of Dunkirk and the aeria bombings until January. and when he spoke of his sadness in saying farewell to his home in England!
