YESTERDAY FORMALLY CHARGED IN NAIROBI WITH THE MURDER OF LORD ERROLL, 39-YEAR-OLD PEER WHO WAS FOUND DEAD TOWARDS THE END OF JANUARY.
No evidence was called and the case was adjourned to March 19.

A prominent man in Britain. whose name is a closely-guarded secret, has offered to adopt thirty children orphaned in the Coventry air raid.
He plans to give them a home and to care for them as his own
children until they grow up. His offer has been accepted.
Offers of homes for the innocent victims of Hitler's murder raiders have been received from rich and
the poor in all parts of
world. Hundreds of parcels of clothes have been sent as well.
And in Coventry itself there aro would-be foster parents. Some have already assumed responsibility for the care helpless Infants without bothering to inform the authori-
ties.

The woman is Mrs. Vera Ken- nedy. "Irish and proud of it," but prouder still of her son, Michael.
