Good Umpires Appointed For Vital Game
By "Grandstand”
THE LONG awaited answer to the question, "Who will win the pennant this year?" will be found in the St. Joseph's—Indians clash, scheduled for 1 p.m. on the Kowloon Football Club ground to-mor- row, in the opener of the Senior League triple bill.
During the week, the writer has had an oppor- tunity to indulge in a little crystal gazing, and un- less the glass ball is to prove false this is a banner year for the Collegians.
CURTAILED CRICKET PROGRAMME
At the time of writing it does not appear as though cricket will be possible during the week-end, but even if conditions permit only a very curtailed programme will
be carried out.

Wildcats Favoured To Win Pennant
By "Grandstand”
UNLESS THE Wildcats suffer a sudden rever- sal of form, they will give those who haven't seen them yet, a real eyeful of aggressive play to emerge winners in their final pennant drive against the Can- adian Chinese, last season's champs, in the spot- lighted game, slated for to-morrow at 11.30 a.m. on the Kowloon Football Club ground.
Heading the long string of Walloping Wildcats is Irene Pereira, who, besides being a most danger- ous distance hitter, knows everything about second base, whilst flashy third-sacker Gloria Mar is a tri- ple threat. She is also proficient with the stick as well as a base-stealing wizard. The others to make up their slugging parade are Lily Mar, Cynthia "Sailor" da Motta, and fork-handed Dolly Brown.
Toeing the rubber for the Untamed Felines, will be Thelma Collaco, who has pitched two no-hit with games this season, Cynthia da Motta working behind the batter,
Mary Ng "Sized Up?"
SEVEN-A NSIDE RUGBY
FINAL TO-DAY
Fire-ball hurler Mary chucking for the Canuckettes, will be the only serious obstacle to the Wildcat's pennant bid. Although Ne still has a lot of the Amy Old Moxie on the ball, having driven her
opponents crazy all through the campaign, it seems that the untamed felines had sul- ved her shoots, by hitting her al- most a will, after the third frame; in their previous encounter, when the Canuckettes were swamped.
Long-Standing Rivalry
The Annual seven-a-side Rugby Tournament for the Blarney Stone Shield will be completed this afternoon when the first game of the Quarter Finals will be played at 3 p.r.
