Forces Advance 170 Miles Beyond Capital Moving Towards Abyssinian Border
THE BRITISH MAIN ADVANCE IS PRO- GRESSING SATISFACTORILY IN ITALIAN SOMALILAND, STATED AN OFFICIAL COM- MUNIQUE ISSUED IN CAIRO YESTERDAY.
The communique continues by saying that subsidiary operations are continuing to- wards the south-east frontier of Abyssinia where, on March 1, a further 1,000 prisoners were taken.
Iscia Baidoa and Bulmo Buti, the cap- ture of which was officially announced in Nairobi earlier, are both about 170 miles north-west and due north, respectively, of Mogadiscio.
