NAZI ANNOUNCER GETS WHAT HE ASKED FOR INDO-CHINA
A NAZI BROADCAST invitation to Americans to send "receiver to pay" tele- grams to Berlin, stating the kind of pro- grammes they would like from Germany, has had an amusing sequel.
Thousands of people swamped telegraph offices where extra staffs were needed. Mes- sages to Berlin were sarcastic, and sometimes downright anti-Nazi.
The staff of one New York firm Spent $50 of Germany's money asking for broadcasts
on Hitler,
Goering and Goebbels singing "Say it isn't so" and cat and dog meat quotations from the Berlin Bourse.
Others asked for bomb by bomb descriptionG of R.A.F. raids on Berchtesgaden.
Berlin radio, in its latest broad- cast, asked for the messages to be continued, states the Columbia Ra- dio Company.
