SATISFYING

WHITEAWAY'S

It may be heresy even to hint at such a thing.. but There are some irrepressible sutils who think the best part of the turkey is its final wind-up

turkey soup.

Such honest flavour, they claim, almost more than the turkey mat itself had, as though the very es- sence of flavour had been saved for this, its glorious finish.

And I agree, for my own turkey soup is something of which I'm really proud. You see, I add cou- densed cream of mushroom soup which gives it an extra fillup of delicate flavour, and a smoothness of texture that is a delight to the palate Here's how it goes

Bow of one reast turkey

2 quatters cold water

I carrof, shred

1 stalk celery

2 slices onion, raedium size

Put all ingredients into a stew- ing kettle, bring to a boil and sim- mer, covered, for 2 hours.

Makes 11⁄2 quarters stock.

11 quarters turkey stock

Strain.

4 tablespoons rice, uncooked

2 cans condensed

mushroom soup

cream:

of stir well and add the turkey stock

with cuoked rice.

Cook the rice in the turkey stork

For garnish add 4 tablespoons until soft when pressed between of chopped tomato (firm part) the fingers. Empty the cream of and 1 teaspoon chopped parsley. mushroom soup

into a saucepan, Makes 244 quarts.

Note:

No salt and pepper

were used in this recipe because the season- ing in the cream of mushroom soup seemed adequate, However, you may prefer to add about leaspoon of salt and pinch of pepper.

BRONZED COMPLEXIONS

Pale faces do not harmonise rouge which is also applied without the tint, for it can be beau- with the exotic, tropical colours a bit of cotton. (The rouge is ex-tifully blended to look like a na- of the new season's fashions. cellent to use on pale faces with tural girlish blush!)

These brewed from native Latin American plants, Bre the same rich, lovely colours you and in Indian poltéry und serapes the vivid green of giant fern, vibrant purple, geranium red, charteuse and chola (which is a most mag- netic purple-red). Important too is the natural beige of unbleach- ed hemp. To wear these, one's complexion must be exquisitely bronzed by the sun's good rays or -artifcially bronzed with a new! complexion tint and liquid rouge!

Yes, my dears, pale faces can be made into mystery-eyed Peru- vian beautles with the aid of two little bottles of liquid and a vi- brant lipstick.

The tint is applied to your skin with a bit of dry cotton and then blended with your fingers much the same way as you apply a foun- dation lotion. The trick is to cover ALL your exposed skin - your face and neck, behind your ears, your arms and hands. If a fow pale spots remain the effect you desire is entirely destroyed.

The first application makes your akin glow as if you had a few`re- cent sun baths, and a deeper, bronze tan is possible with a se- cond application of the tint.

The companion piece to this skin-changing tint, is a liquid

Other Use For Tint

Women who have skin"

use this liquid .com- plexion tint to advantage. By deftly applying the tint to the paler. areas and blending it with finger tips it is possible to obtain one lovely, tone, then 'over this the rouge may go..

The nice thing about such cosmetic is that it permits one to change typeOnce you get bor ed with your too bleached, winter skin you cán;, prestó, paint on f harmless shade or two and turn. out to be a ravishing bronze buru- ty! But do remember that such a skin tone requires a very vivid lipstick true yellow-starlet, öf a cerise scarlet. The deeper win- ter lipsticks look dull with this tint.

In case you wonder the tint and rouge may be removed läs- lly with cleansing cream or bland soap and water, And it is best

to put it on freshly washed skin' there is no need for a founda- tion under it.
