A HIT OR A VERY NEAR MISS ON THE STERN OF AN ITALIAN BATTLESHIP OF THE "LITTORIO" CLASS DURING A PARTICU- LARLY HEAVY RAID ON NAPLES, WAS AN- NOUNCED IN A COMMUNIQUE FROM R.A.F. MIDDLE EAST HEADQUARTERS IN CAIRO YESTERDAY.
