You can knit
this cuddly toy in an evening for a tiny's Christmas stocking
Any small child would be de- lighted to And this cuddly golly- wog sticking out of the top of an exciting looking stocking on Christmas Day. He's quite easy to make, being designed in plain knitting; in fact, his little 'woolly body could be made in an even- ing.
Then all there is to do is to stufi him firmly with cottonwool and sew him up.
Material required.—loz, `_red wool for pullover, loz. sky blu for trousers, foz. dark blue fot head, small quantity of whitt wool, 1 pair No. 10 Stratnoid knit. ting needles.
Red Pullover
BACK.-Cast on 30 sts. in red wool and knit 512in. in garter st *: Cast on 20 sts, at beginning of the

Knit 2in. Then cast off 7 sts. at beginning of next two rows, and 14 ats. at beginning of the 2 fal- lowing rows. Knit one row, cast off 28 sts.

have been cropping up regu- larly lately: "Eyes somehow feel smaller", "lids crepey and dis- coloured"; "tired-looking eyes"; "lashes poor and dropping out. a lot,"
They're all cases of "war-cyes." Nervous strain shows more quick- ly round the eyes than on any other part of the face.
If there's pain or serious in- flammation you' should consult an oculist, of course. They might be caused by something more .com- plicated than war eyes.". But straightforward cases of this kind can be dealt with quite simply. -
