Poor batting by the losers, fair bowling on the part of the Kowloon Cricket Club trundlers, and keen fielding, gave Kowloon Cricket Club an easy seven-wicket victory over Army in a friendly whole- day cricket match at Cox's Road yesterday.
Kowloon's bowling was steady to get away, while French, al- enough, and the "dunce's" Cap though only taking one wicket, was not produced once in the proved to be a bowler of excep- course of the game, but for the lion. al ability, his leg-spinners and most part Army batsmen had only clever flighting having the K.C.C. themselves to blame for their batsmen in trouble for most of Sgt. Zimmern met with scant suc- cess in his first spell, when he took one wicket at a cost of 21 rufis, but he improved in his second spell to take 3 for 11 and Grish with 4 for 32. Although only taking one wicket, Lloyd was the best bowler on the side, als fighting keeping the batsmen in difficulties.
Curtis took three wickets, im- cluding, that of Major. Grose, but his analysis of 3 for 21 was de- finitely flattering!-

K.C.C. had scored 18 rims when Anderson, who was shaping, con- fidently, was brilliantly taken in the slips by Logan, who shot out his left hand to hold a quick chance.

Winning Partnership Ernie Fincher's was the next wicket to fall, French securing it
with via the 1b.w." route runs on the board. Hung, who' had been batting stolidly was then joined by Mackay and when the former was caught by Tropp off Fargus, Kowloon's total was only five short of their opponents', and those runs were secured with- out further loss, the winning`run
