RALLY MACAO
ANOTHER GRAND RALLY IN CLOSING MINUTES Sing Tao Score Twice In Last 6 Minutes
Gift Goal Scored By Fung King-cheong
By "Referee"
AFTER OUTPLAYING SING TAO IN THE FIRST HALF, DURING WHICH THEY SCORED TWO GOALS WITHOUT REPLY, EASTERN TOOK THINGS MUCH TOO EASILY IN THE SECOND PERIOD AND PAID THE ~ PENALTY BY BEING FORCED TO A TWO-ALL DRAW, SIŃG TAO STAG- ING A SENSATIONAL RECOVERY TO SCORE THEIR GOALS IN "THE LAST SIX MINUTES OF THE GAME. THEY APPLIED SUCH HEAVY-PRES- SURE IN THE CLOSING STAGES THAT EASTERN WERE IN DANGER OF DEFEAT WHEN THE FINAL WHISTLE SOUNDED. IT WILL BE RECALL- ED THAT IN THEIR MATCH AGAINST SOUTH CHINA SÍNG TAO ALSO STAGED A SPECTACULAR RALLY IN THE CLOSING M NUTES TO SHARE THE POINTS.
There was no doubt as to the superiority of |************0000000 Eastern in the first half, and also for the greater part of the second period. Only Cheong Wing-choy, in Sing Tao's goal, prevented Eastern from obtain-. ing a bigger lead. He saved-two certain goals with clever anticipation and positioning.

These changes made little dif- ference to both teams. Lau Tau- man played a fairly good game on the left wing and followed the in- structions given him by centring every time he gained possession: Had he used his own Initiative more and cut in when opportunity arose, he might have been a big ger threat to the opposing defence. Chui An-fel, in the Sing Taò de- fence, had an off day. He was slow and he passing left much to be desired. Leung Wing-shul at right halt, was also off colour and it was fortunate for Sing Tao that Soong Ling sing, in the pivotal position, was up to form. Lven then he haall his work cut out to cope with the nippy Eastern inside forwards, though in the closing stages of the game he was prominent with some clever leed- ing and was indirectly responsible for his team sharing the spoils.
Lee's Off Day
Lee Ting-sang had an unhappy afternoon at left back for Sing Tao. He was badly rattled by the fast Chung Yung-sum and Chang Kam-hol and was directly 'res- ponsible for Eastern's first goal, also contributing to the second which 10licwed Chang.
