Mistake Spotted
The mistake was soon observea and rectified I must add, but this has nothing to do with the cont tretemps--a polite way of putting what others have described dif ferently-which has arisen OVER the final scores. This I say right away. I blame chiefly on those skips who, in two cases, relied on their Number Twos, who by I.B.B. rules must keep the scores AND ANNOUNCE THE SCORE AT
THE END OF EACH HEAD.
I blame the skips only insofor as they did not check the boards and cards to see if they were the same before signing and although it is no excuse for them I may add that in very few cases is this done.
And just see what this.omis- sion has led to this time-a lot of trouble to all concerned-and "gineers "B" and went on to lead 5th A.A. Battery was the better large extent absent.

5th A.A. Battery did not have an easy time against Field En- gineers "A" although they even tually won by six shots.
The winners scored a five early on and this just about made the difference, especially as they fol- lowed it up with a three, to secure a winning lead.
