HAMBURG, THE second largest city in Germany, faces bankruptcy. Every report reaching London emphasises the growing ef- fects of the Royal Air Force's "bomb-blight" on this once great seaport, states the Air Min- istry News Service.

A tremendous effort is being made to con- ceal the damage, even from the people of the city itself, yet news of the havoc in Hamburg is spread all over Germany.
