Naples And Kiel Raided
Successful attacks upon objectives at Kiel and Naples were carried out on Sunday night by the Bomber Command de- spite extremely difficult weather conditions, cording to an Air Minis- try announcement in London last evening.
ac-
The attack on Kiel lasted nearly 70 minutes and was carried out by waves of Bri- tish aircraft. Other aircraft bombed the main railway sta- tion at Naples and oil "tanks at Poggioreale, on the southern outskirts of the city.
Bombers which attacked Naples reported that Italian anti-air- craft guns provided more effec- tive opposition than on the previous raid.
The city was woll blacked out and as our aircraft ap- proached they were met by a heavy and fairly accurate fire. The attacks on the naval dock- yards at Kiel were delayed unlil carly yesterday morning, when weather conditions showed some improvement, and it was not un til 4. a.m. that the first British raider reached the target area.- Reuter.
