Greeks Still Hold Mountain Passes Against Italians

REPORTS REACHING London yesterday NEW DELHI

evening showed that the Greeks were still

holding their positions against the Italians in CONFERENCE

the mountain passes along the frontier.

Greece's famous "kilted troops" are now in action. They are recruited from the moun- tain districts and are now face to face with Italy's "Alpine" divisions.

Italian claims to have advanced into Greece were denied in Athens yesterday afternoon.

The Greek soldiers are now us- ing the slogan they used during the Balkan wars "We will drive them into the sea!"

Up to yesterday evening, there were no signs that the "big push". the Italians had announced for dawn yesterday had met with any greater success than on day before.
