was referred to the Press and Men" was never on the list. The vessel, which is the latest Censorship Bureau for considera- and most modern addition to the Butterfield and Swire fleet, has just completed its maiden round trip voyage between Hong Kong and Shanghai. Her tonnage is 2,864 tons and she is capable of s speed of twelve-and-half knots, while her passenger accommoda- tion is the last word in excellence.
The cabins, both single and double, are fitted with roomy wardrobes, hot and cold water system, ice-water containers, handy shelves and in fact, every thing which constitutes a liner stateroom in miniature.
Perhaps the most important individual im- provement designed for the com- fort of passengers, is the installa- tion of the thermo tank system, which supplies air currents to all parts of the ship and replaces the old fashioned electric fans.
On the same day a reply was given that there was no reason why the book should not go out of
the country.

In Government departments in London there was strong disin- clination to agree that they had any say in the administration of the Control of Communication re- gulations.
The Home Office said it was a matter for the Ministry of In- formation or the Customs and Excise officials.
The Ministry of Informationi referred a reporter to the Post Office, the Customs passed him to their War Division, who ad.. vised him to try the Home Of- fice.
Another inquiry at the Ministry of Information yielded the answer that the reporter should try the
Home Office.
If that was not the right place-- "try Travellers" Censorship, and
ask for Major Gompertz."
When the reporter d'd so, be was told, that if he meant Bri- gadier-General Gompertz, he had left that department.
The proper person to consult was the Chief Postal Censor at Aintree, Lancashire.
