The keen..com- petition that each event has produced this year has aroused interest unprece lented in the annals of swimming in Hong Kong and record crowds were in attendance on both Wednesday and Thursday; and an even larger crowd is expected to-day. The back-stroke is likely to be' somewhat disappointing as it is unlikely that Lawrence will after all be defending his title.
