Dr. W. W. Yen, ex- ambassador to Mos- cow, who was reported in a Reuter dispatch from Shanghai as possible appointee to the post of ambas- sador to Washington, is in Manila and is staying at the Manila Hotel.
Questioned, Dr. Yen said he has not heard anything and was in- clined to doubt the re- port that the Chinese government has de- cided upon his ap- pointment to the Washington post. He said he is in Manila on vacation and plans to stay about two weeks more.
A Chinese consulate official told the Manila Bulletin that they had no informa- tion
