DAVENTRY'S RISE TO FAME
ASSAULT CHARGE DISMISSED
The charge of assault brought against Capt. M. Campbell of the mv. Norah Moller in a private pro- secution instituted by Mr. K. A. Jenkins, chief en- gineer of the same vessel ¡was dismissed by Mr. C. H. Haines in H. M. Police Court in Shanghai when the case came up for a second hearing. No order was made regarding costs.
Defendant was alleged to have struck Mr. Jenkins a blow on his tace with a clenched fist on, Mon- day last. Mr. K. E. Newman ap- peared for Mr. Jenkins while Mr. P.
