THE EIRE SCHEME for defence against’◊ invasion was described to Reuter's special correspondent by a higħ officer of the Irish General Staff yesterday.
The officer said that they had an outer observation fringe on the lines of the old coastguards. From points commanding a wide view of the sea, a day and night watch was kept and communications had been_in- stalled so as to give immediate notice of any suspicious movements.
