SOVIET RUSSIA HAS OBTAINED Bessarabia and northern Bukovina from Rumania without a fight, although there were a few clashes with frontier guards who apparently had not learned of the capitulation. Three Rumanian 'planes were shot down.
Soviet troops are now moving into the area with flags flying and bands playing. Soviet 'planes are flying over the territory and some have land- ed at aerodromes.
