NON-STOP AIR RAIDS BY R-A-F. IN FRANCE
London, To-day. REUTER'S SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT with the R.A.F. somewhere in France telegraphs that al- most non-stop raiding has been carried out this week by R.A.F. bombers operating in close liai- son with bombers from England and the French air force.
Bridges across the Seine vital to the enemy's plans for the
encirclement of Paris, have been the chief objectives. Fires have been raging in towns over a wide belt from the incessant aerial bombardment started by the Germans and continued by Allied aircraft as the Germans push- ed forward to occupy the bomb-scarred land. So incessant have been the attacks, two others... that squadrons engaged have barely time to file their reports of the results obtained before the tanks were refuelled, and the deadly racks off reloaded and the planes take again.
had In the course of Wednesday's in- tense bombing attacks on enemy con- centrations in the area east of Rouen, three enemy bombers were shot down. Three British aircraft are missing.
New fighters flown out overnight to strategic bases at once have taken their places with older western front squadrons. Reuter.

Unfavourable Weather
Paris, To-day.
A French air communique states that owing to unfavourable weather conditions the activity of the French air force has considerably lessened in the past 24 hours. Squadrons of light of bombers attacked German positions, in concentrations and lines of communi- cation with bombs and machine-gun fire. Reuter.
"One of our heavy bombers was attacked by a strong formation German fighters, bringing down flames two: Messerschmidt 110's and heavily damaging a third.
