SING TAO MUST GET PERMISSION

In spite of the fact that the new Sing Tao Sports Club will have the services of most of South China's play- ers next year it was decided at the Council Meeting of the Football Association that permission for them to tour Singapore must be first ob- tained from Malaya before the case will be considered.

A circular regarding touring teams was read and it was decided that Hong Kong Football Association co- operate with Malaya in future.

A donation of $1,000 was made to the B.W.O.F. from the profits of the year which amounted to over $8,000.

Grips and stances vary with the first flight golfers but at address their fundamentals appear the same if due allowance is made for individual interpretation. As in the smaller panel above they stand comfortably to the ball, with the clubhead aligned at right angles to it and the V's of the grip pointing to the right shoul- der. This position is best calculat- ed to allow the golfer to swing with accuracy and power. The left hand, when in the correct position, is somewhat on top of the shaft with two knuckles vis- ible to the player as he looks down and with the right hand palm facing the objective.

The position of the hands in the large illustration violate this prin- ciple. The left hand is too far under the shaft while the right is too far over. As a consequence, the clubhead is very apt to have
