LONDON, TO-DAY. "EYE-WITNESS,” TELEGRAPHING FRÓM “SOME- WHERE IN NORWAY,' DESCRIBES HOW IN THE FINAL ATTACK ON NARVIK, WHICH WAS CAPTURED FROM THE GERMANS ON WED- NESDAY AFTER AN ASSAULT LASTING 24 HOURS WHILE BRITISH WARSHIPS SHELLED THE GERMAN POSITIONS, FRENCH, POLISH AND NORWEGIAN TROOPS CLOSED IN ON THE TOWN FROM NORTH, SOUTH AND EAST. A British fleet was assembled before Narvik on Tuesday and began the bombardment at 10.20 a.m. At 10.45 a.m., French troops in military landing craft crossed the fjord under fire and successfully landed on a headland near Narvik.
