ed to leave Kai Tak for Manila this League Tennis morning with 18 members of the Eastern Athletic Association Soccer team. With this large booking the vessel would have carried 57 passen- gers, which is believed to be a record for any commercial service plane in the East. The Clipper has been de- layed at Manila owing to bad weather and is now not expected till to-day.

It is also learned that the East- ern team may not now go to India owing to some difficulty in con- nection with visas.

Should the Indian section of their four-months' tour be cancelled, it wilk result in the cancellation of about 30 matches for which all arrangements have already been made in the prin- cipal cities of India.

According to present plans, the Eastern team is due to play three games in Manila before proceeding to Singapore where a programme of an- other four games awaits them.

They will then play a game each in Kuala Lumpur and Penang before go- ing on to Rangoon, where they are due to figure in four matches against re- presentative teams.

The hero of the match was un- doubtedly the College's right-winger, Tam Sick-chau, who scored a total of besides 10 points (five field goals) assisting his forwards well. Three of his five goals were real gems.

Feature of the match was the fine form shown by E. Zulauf and R. E. Lee, who won three sets for Kowloon. Proving much steadier than the op- position, this pair were only serious- ly extended by Morrison and Major,

Zulauf, however, although being one of the finest stroke-players on view, gave the impression that he was res- training himself. On the forehand, for instance, he was inclined to indulge in safety-first methods instead of hit- ting the ball as hard as he is able to do. His service was in fine working order and proved too good for most of the opposing players.
