THE FOLLOWING IS THE chronological order of events
in Belgium and Holland yesterday.
First the Brussels radio calmly reported that bomb attacks
had been launched on the city.
At 5.20 Nazi planes appeared over Brussels and were fired
on.
At 5.30 a.m, a large number of planes were seen over The Hague and the Dutch A.A. defence went action,

At 6 a.m. the first Nazi parachute troops were found in several localities in the heart of Belgium between Nivelle and Strond.
At 8 a.m. the radio broadcast or- ders to all citizens of military age to rejoin their units, immediately. After receiving the Nazi Note, King Leopold granted an audience to the Premier and Foreign Minister.
The Premier later told the press that Belgium had been attacked and that in reply to a request for aid, the Allies were doing all they could.
STRICT ACTION
Very strict action has been taken all over the country to prevent German action from the inside. All Germans residing in Brussels have been arrest- ed.
King Leopold, like his father before him in 1914, has taken command of the armed forces.-Havas.

Washington, To-day. President Roosevelt yesterday told pressmen he saw no change "with respect to the possibili- ties of the United States keeping out of the war."

The Nazi attack on the Lowlands was launched on the land frontier at about 3 a.m. At the same time, Ger- man 'planes carried out attacks Dutch and Belgian aerodromes and on Allied aerodromes in France.
