ALLIES HOLD STOEREN & DOMBAAS

(SPECIAL TO “China Mail") London, To-day. Military quarters state the German announcement of the seizure of Dombaas and Stoeren is incorrect.

It is pointed out that reports from Swedish sources, as well as indepen-. dent reports, indicate the Allies have established positions 30 kilometres south of Stoeren.

The same circles are of opinion that the main British position covering Dombaas, on which British troops have withdrawn slightly, is situated north of Dombaas junction and is probably around Brennhanger.

The communique stated: "Late last night enemy aircraft approached the east coast at several points.

"Anti-aircraft guns went into

action and one enemy aircraft crash-

ed in a coastal town in Essex and burst into flames. Houses in the vicinity were damaged and some of the occupants injured.":

Later reports revealed that about 40 were taken to hospital suffering from injuries, and it is thought others are still pinned in the wreckage, on which rescuers are working...
