The planes, built in Canada and the United States, will take off from Rat- tles airport, Newfoundland, and will fly 2,000 miles over the sea to England non-stop.
The types are the Lockheed Hudson, Handley-Page and Hampden, all of which are now being fitted with ex- tra fuel tanks-Havas.
