ENDORSEMENT FOR FOOD ORDERS RECOMMENDED

It is announced officially by Food Controller that all orders

foodstuffs from the United Kingdom for consignment to Hong Kong should, in future, be submitted to the Con- troller of Food for endorsement before

they are despatched.

As no control is at present being exercised on the export from the United Kingdom of many articles of food endorsement in the case of such foodstuffs will be merely formal.

Neglect to secure endorsement may, however, result in loss of priority of shipment by the exporters, and consignees are therefore advised to obtain endorsement in advance in all

cases.

It is published in the "Gazette" that at an Inquiry held by the Medical Board on the 20th March, 1940, a rom solution was duly passed that "It had - been proved to the satisfaction of the Board that Dr. Pang Iu Ki, of No. 13 Wongnelchong Road, Happy Valley, had signed certificates of inoculation: for cholera and vaccination in blank and permitted his dresser to deal with the same as he saw fit and that, in re- lation to the facts so proved to the sa- tisfaction of the Board, the said Dr. Pang lu Ki had been guilty of infam- ous conduct in a professional respect. and that he be censured in respect. thereof."
