BASES IN NORWAY Three Reported To Have Been Established

Challenge To Nazi Air Terrorism

London, To-day.

THE FACT THAT BRITISH pursuit ‘planes are now busy in Norway, alongside the big bombers, was first revealed by a Norwegian communique and is now confirmed by the Air Ministry,

An Air Correspondent understands that the 'planes have landed on a frozen lake, where they have. established a temporary base despite bombing attacks in which some R.A.F. machines were damaged.

A Stockholm newspaper states than no less than three such bases have actually been established.

So far, the Germans have been em- ploying in Norway tactics similar to those used in Poland, bomber's being sent ahead of the mechanised troops to bomb towns and railways and ter- rorise civilians by machine-gun at- tacks in village streets.

The arrival of British fighting 'planès in Norway will in`a large measure stop this practice,

Furthermore, anti-aircraft equip- ment is being landed in considerable quantities and is already making the Nazi bombers realise that they can no longer carry out their raids wit.. im- punity-Reuter.
