Desperate Nazi Bid To Relieve Trondheim

NEWS OF THE FIGHTING north of Trondheim gives the clearest indication of events in the Norwe- gian regions. Operations in this sector seem to be to and fro along the road and railway from Namsos, where Allied troops have landed, to Trondheim. Yesterday, the Nazis claimed to have captured Steinkjaer, but the Allies have once or twice been reported below this town and frontier reports say that fighting for the control of the road is still in progress.
