MR. GREENWOOD ON FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION
London, To-day.
"NO MINISTER IS GOING to close my mouth. That is what this war is about," said Mr. Arthur Greenwood, Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, at a luncheon speech yesterday. He emphasised the need for free- dom of expression...
Stressing that the Labour Party stood 100 per cent. behind any effort necessary for the successful prosecution of the war, Mr. Greenwood said that Hitler made his first capital blunder when he decided on the invasion of Den- mark and Norway.
That blunder proved that "Corporal Hitler" could never have been a sailor, he said, and continued:---
"I should like to be able to read Admiral Raeder's diary to see what he thinks of his beloved leader. I should not think the diary would be. very flattering!"

Discussing the neutrals, Mr. Greenwood said that even the Unit- ed States was having to pay a heavy bill for armaments; not because she herself was threatened but be. cause no one knew how far this war would extend.
