The case was heard by the Chief Mr. Justice, Sir Atholl MacGregor. E. H. Williams prosecuted assisted by Inspector Darkin while defendant was not represented.
The jury, who did not retire, was composed of Messra, R. H. Wild, Wong Kam-poon, Poon Kel-yeung, J. Har rop, A. R. Kinross, E. C. Hanscomb and Tsoi Pak-hang.
Accused was charged with causing the death of Li Kam-ho by striking him with a bamboo pole in the course of a quarrel at the refugee camp as the result of which he died from a fractured skull.
