BOWLING ALLEY JOTTINGS

By "STRIKE”..

Owing to the exigencies of the ser- of vices, there has been no match outstanding importance to report since my last "Jottings."

We have, however, another two new members to the 200 Club, one of them a young student named R. Chan from Lingnam University. I have no- ticed this youngster's performance gradually getting better and better from day to day, and felt quite cer- tain that he must eventually reach the

JOHNBER AND FOR ALL TIME DISAPPOINT

(By "RAPIER”)

A FAIRLY LARGE CROWD of racing fans gathered last Saturday at the Valley to witness the running of the Third Extra Race Meeting, which was conducted under ideal weather conditions. With the track in a medium to fast state, racing on the whole was quite exhilarating, with the various events keenly contested.

Mr. L. B. Chao was the most successful jockey with two wins and a second, while Mr. Li Po-chun headed the list of leading owners with a first and third.

the Barney's score of 139, by way, is so far the record, for the month, and it will be very hard to beat.

Up to the time of writing the records for the month for Ten Pins and Duck Pins are as follows:-

Mrs. Horton is top scorer for Ten Pins for Ladies with 183 to her credit, and Corp. H. Blount, with 229 to his credit, leads the Men.

I can expect some really keen efforts to beat the above scores before the end of the month,
