SOVIET IGNORES FINNISH PROTEST

It is officially learned that no proof has been forthcoming of rumours that the Soviet troops were commanded by Ger- man officers during the Finnish war.
Furthermore no German soldiers were among war prisoners taken by the Finns.
it la reported by Captain` Katosta, commanding the Finnish troops in Sortavala, that the Russians occupied the city two days before the date fixed in the peace treaty.
Capt. Katosta sent a representative to Russian headquarters to protest but the Soviet commander said he had received orders to occupy the city on Saturday.
The Finnish population, as a result, wore forced to 'abandon belongings.
